Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. All purpose flour / maida - 2 cup
  2. Milk - 1 cup
  3. Oil - 1 tbsp
  4. Salt - to taste
  5. Carom seeds / ajwain - a pinch
  6. Baking powder - 1/4 tsp
  7. Oil - for frying
  8. For stuffing
  9. Fresh green gram - 200 gms
  10. Chopped green chilly - 1/4 tsp
  11. Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  12. Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  13. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  14. Garam masala - a pinch
  15. Cumin seeds - a pinch
  16. Salt - to taste
  17. Oil - 1 tsp
  18. Asafoetida - a pinch

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan.
  2. Add asafoetida and cumin seeds to crackle.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for one mins.
  4. Add fresh green gram,green chilly.red chilly powder.turmeric powder,garam masala powder and saute for f4 - 5 mins.
  5. Switch off the gas.
  6. Once cooled,grind to make a paste,add salt and mix well.
  7. Now stuffing is ready.
  8. Take a bowl add all purpose flour,salt ,baking powder,caram seeds and oil and knead to make a soft dough.
  9. Add little amount of milk at a time and knead into a soft dough.
  10. Keep aside for 30 mins. and knead it again.
  11. Divide the dough into equal size balls.
  12. Stuff the filling in the dough and roll out ball.
  13. In a pan heat the oil and add the kachori.
  14. Lower the heat and fry till light brown.
  15. Serve hot with potato bhaji.
