Fruity Ricotta Cheese Kofta in White Gravy

ABOUT Fruity Ricotta Cheese Kofta in White Gravy RECIPE

This is my own innovative dish which you can relish very easily. Always having traditional koftas so i thought of trying something new

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For koftas:
  2. 1/2 Cup Ricotta Cheese(Hunged for 10 minuites)
  3. 1 medium sized boiled Potato
  4. 1 tbsp Cornflour for binding + 2 tbsp for dusting
  5. 1/2 cup chopped Mix fresh fruits (any of these Strawberry,Grapes,Kiwi etc)
  6. 1 tsp Salt
  7. 1 tsp pepper
  8. Oil for deep frying + For Greasing hands
  9. For White Gravy:
  10. 2 medium sized Onions
  11. 2 garlic cloves
  12. 1/4 Cup Cashews Chopped
  13. 2 tbsp Muskmelon seeds
  14. 2 Green Cardamoms Peeled
  15. 1 tsp chopped green chilies
  16. Salt to taste
  17. 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  18. 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt (Whole Milk)
  19. 1/2 cup Sour Cream with Chives
  20. Few Saffron Strands for Garnishing

Instructions

  1. For White Gravy: Heat a pan and add Onions, Garlic , Cashews , Muskmelon seeds , Cardamom and Green Chilies.
  2. Now add 1 tsp salt into it. Add 1 Cup water into it and cook for 10 minutes. Switch off the Gas and let it cool down.
  3. Blend it properly now and make it's paste. Again heat a pan and add butter into it. Now add the paste and saute it for 2 minutes on medium heat.
  4. Now add the whisked curd into it and keep on stirring continuously. Add Sour Cream into it and give it a good mix.
  5. Cook it for another 5 minutes on low flame
  6. For Koftas:Take a bowl and add Ricotta Cheese, boiled potato and mix them.
  7. Add cornflour, salt and pepper and mix them well. Kofta Dough is ready.
  8. Grease your hands with oil and make equal sized balls from the dough
  9. Take out one ball , flatten them and put the fruits into it like we do in normal Koftas and again make ball from it. Repeat the procedure for all balls.
  10. Heat oil in a Kadhai / Wok.
  11. Spread 2 tbsp Cornflour on a Dinner Plate. When its heated properly , dust or roll the Balls into the Cornflour which you have just spread.
  12. Drop the Koftas carefully in the Wok. Cook them on medium flame till they get light brown colour.
  13. When you are ready to serve just cut the koftas into their halves and put it into the Gravy and serve your new innovative dish
