Soya Chapli Kebab

Ingredients to make Soya Chapli Kebab

  • 1 cup soya granules
  • 2 tbsp. whole wheat flour
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 tsp. ginger-garlic, grated
  • 1-2 green chilies, chopped
  • 2-3 tbsp. coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp. coriander-cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp. red chili flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper powder
  • 1 tsp. lime juice
  • 1 egg
  • few tomato slices
  • oil to shallow fry

How to make Soya Chapli Kebab

  1. Soak the soya granules in hot water for 10 minutes. Squeeze out the water and blend till smooth. Mix with the rest of the ingredients (except tomato slices and oil).
  2. Divide into large equal size portions. Give a shape of a patty and place a slice of tomato on each.
  3. Shallow fry them in some oil till done on both sides, Drain on a kitchen towel and serve with any homemade chutney of your choice.
