ABOUT Red Cabbage Fried Rice RECIPE

Basically fried rice is prepared by using cooked rice that has been stir fried in a frying pan or wok and is usually mixed with flavorful seasoned meat or vegetables. It is often eaten as it is or with any accompaniment.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Basmati rice ½ cup
  2. Red cabbage (shredded) ½ cup
  3. Garlic clove 2 number
  4. Green chili 2 number
  5. Onion (small) 1 number
  6. Black pepper powder ½ teaspoon
  7. Soy sauce ½ tablespoon
  8. Oil 1 teaspoon
  9. Salt As needed
  10. Water As needed

Instructions

  1. Finely slice the garlic cloves and onion and keep aside.
  2. Soak rice for 25 to 30 minutes.
  3. Then cook the rice with enough water.
  4. Once the rice is cooked, spread it on a plate and allow to cool down completely.
  5. Heat oil in a wok on high heat.
  6. Saute the finely sliced garlic and onions for 1 to 2 minutes or until the onions are translucent.
  7. Then add sliced green chilies, shredded red cabbage and salt.
  8. Saute for 3 to 4 minutes.
  9. Add the soy sauce, black pepper powder and give a quick mix.
  10. Finally add cooked rice and mix everything very gently.
  11. Cover the wok for 2 to 3 minutes on low heat and then turn off the heat.
  12. Serve this red cabbage fried rice hot as it is or with any choice-able side dish !
