Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. amaranth leaves 1 bunch
  2. Moong dal 1/4 cup
  3. turmeric 1 tsp
  4. salt to taste
  5. coconut 1/4 cup
  6. jeera 1 tsp
  7. Red chilli 3
  8. For seasoning mustard 1 tsp
  9. Urad dal 1 tsp
  10. hing pinch
  11. Curry leaves few

Instructions

  1. Clean and Rinse Amaranth leaves
  2. Rinse 1/4 cup Moong dal
  3. Add Amaranth leaves
  4. Add water, Turmeric powder and salt. Boil till the dal and greens are cooked
  5. Grind 1/4 cup Coconut, jeera 1 TSP and 3 red chillies
  6. Add coconut mixture to cooked dal
  7. Prepare seasoning with coconut oil, mustard, Ural dal, hing and curry leaves. Add seasoning to dal
  8. Serve hot with rice
