Its a healthy version dhokla and mirchi bada...as it chillies are stuffed with dhokla batter and steamed. Oil free and taste is just awesome...must try dish

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 8-10 green chillies (which can be stuffed)
  2. 2 cups of besan
  3. Half tbsp turmeric powder
  4. Half tbsp saunf
  5. Half tbsp red chilli powder
  6. Salt
  7. Curd as required
  8. One tbsp oil
  9. Half tbsp mustard seeds
  10. Half tbsp sesame seeds
  11. Chopped coriander leaves
  12. Pinch of baking soda


  1. Wash the chillies and pat dry. Keep aside
  2. Take besan in a big bowl and add salt turmeric powder saunf red chilli powder and baking soda and mix well and make dhokla like batter consistency
  3. Now slit the chillies from one side and fill the batter into them with spoon
  4. Steam them into steamer till 15 minutes or till completely done
  5. After done take them out. Heat oil in kadai and add mustard seeds sesame seeds, add this tempering on the chillies..
  6. Garnish them with coriander leaves. Your chilli dhokla are ready to eat
