Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. spinach 1 bunch(250gram)
  2. black urad dal(pulses) 1 cup
  3. rice or wheat flour 1 tablespoon
  4. green chillies 2-3
  5. ginger 1 inch chopped
  6. garlic 2-3 clove minced
  7. read chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Garam Masala 1/2 teaspoon
  9. salt to taste
  10. ghee 2 -3tablespoons
  11. cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  12. hing 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. wash spinach and dal. put in pressure cooker and add chopped ginger,green chilli and salt.
  2. add little water and pressure cooker it till 4-5 whistle.
  3. Open the cooker. Let it cool down and add rice or wheat flour than grind a coarse paste.
  4. Heat ghee in a pan add cumin seeds.After a while add hing and chopped garlic.
  5. when garlic would be little brown add spinach saag in it.
  6. adjust salt according to your taste and little Garam Masala.
  7. serve it with rice chapati,cornmeal chapati or paratha.
