ABOUT Mushroom Biryani RECIPE

Easy mushroom biryani within 30 minutes.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup Basmati Rice
  2. 150 grams button mushrooms
  3. 2 onions, thinly sliced
  4. 1 Tomato, thinly sliced
  5. 2 green chillies, slit lengthwise
  6. 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  7. 1/2 cup finely chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves
  8. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  9. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  10. 1/2 tsp chilly powder
  11. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  12. 1 bay leaf
  13. small piece Cinnamon
  14. 3 cloves
  15. few kalpasi
  16. 1 star aniseed
  17. 2 cardamom
  18. 3 tbsp ghee
  19. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Soak the rice. Cut the onions, tomatoes and green chillies. Take all the spices. Chop the mint leaves and coriander leaves. Clean the mushrooms and cut them.
  2. Heat 3 tbsp ghee in a kadai and add all the spices one by one. 1 bay leaf, small piece cinnamon, 3 cloves, 2 cardamom, 1 star aniseed and few kalpasi.
  3. Next, add the onions and saute it on medium heat.
  4. Add the green chillies and ginger garlic paste.
  5. Stir and saute them well.
  6. Now add the chopped mushrooms.
  7. Stir and saute them well.
  8. Add the thinly sliced tomatoes. Stir and saute it well with the mushrooms.
  9. Add the finely chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves.
  10. Next add the 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and 1/2 tsp chilly powder. Mix them well.
  11. Add 1 tsp garam masala powder.
  12. Mix them well with the mushrooms.
  13. Now add 3 cups of water.
  14. Add the required salt and 1 tbsp lemon juice. Mix them well.
  15. Allow them to boil.
  16. Now add 1 cup soaked rice to it.
  17. Mix them gently.
  18. Now close it with a lid and cook them on medium heat for 10 minutes.
  19. After 10 minutes, reduce the heat to very low and keep it covered for another 10 minutes.
  20. After 10 minutes, open the lid.
  21. Gently fluff the rice. Transfer the rice to the serving dish.
  22. Tasty and easy mushroom biryani is ready.
  23. Serve it with onion raitha.
