Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup Curry Leaves packed
  2. 1/2 Tamarind ball
  3. Urad Dal 1 tbsp
  4. Chana Dal 1 tbsp
  5. Methi (Fenugreek) Seeds 1/4 tbsp
  6. Dry Red Chilies 6 - 8
  7. Mustard Seeds 1 tsp
  8. Oil – 2 tbsp + 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan.Add urad dal and chana dal. Stir-fry till light golden brown.
  2. Add the fenugreek seeds and stir-fry for 1 minute.
  3. Add split red chilies and stir-fry for 10 seconds.Add the curry leaves and stir-fry for another 5-7 minutes. Switch off. Allow to cool completely
  4. Grind the curry leaves mix with tamarind, salt, and a little water to a coarse paste.
  5. Heat 1tsp oil in a pan .Splutter mustard seeds. Add tempering to Curry leaves chutney and mix well. Serve with idli/dosa/rice
