ABOUT Methi Malai Matar RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 medium sized onion sliced
  2. 15 Cashews
  3. Cinnamon 1 inch stick
  4. Cloves 3 to 4
  5. Whole Black pepper 3 to 4
  6. Green cardamom 3 to 4
  7. Oil 2 tbsp
  8. Cumin seeds 1/2 tbsp
  9. Grated Ginger 1/2 tbsp
  10. Minced Garlic 1/2 tbsp
  11. Chopped fenugreek leaves 1cup
  12. Kasuri Methi 1 tsp
  13. green chilies 1
  14. Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
  15. Salt as per taste
  16. garam masala 1 tsp
  17. Green peas boiled 1 cup
  18. Cream 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Boil Fenugreek leaves for 2 minutes
  2. Strain excess water.
  3. Boil onion and cashew nut for 2 - 3 minutes
  4. In a grinder jar, add cinnamon stick, black pepper, cloves, green cardamom.
  5. Add boiled onion and cashew nuts.
  6. Make a smooth paste with the help of little water.
  7. Heat Oil in a pan/ kadai, splutter cumin seeds. Add ginger and garlic. Saute for 1 minute.
  8. Add boiled fenugreek leaves and saute for 2-3 minute on low flame. Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix well
  9. Add onion and cashew nuts paste and saute for another 2-3 min on low flame.
  10. Add boiled green peas and cook for a min.
  11. Add Fresh cream, mix well cook until gravy starts boiling. Finally add Kasuri methi. Mix. Serve hot with roti
