ABOUT Chanar Bhurji RECIPE

A very easy and delicious paneer preparation which one can enjoy with roti.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 ltr milk
  2. 2 teaspoon vinegar
  3. 1 large tomato cubed
  4. 2 medium sized onions cubed
  5. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  6. 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  7. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  8. 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  9. 1 tablespoon refined oil
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 4-5 Cashews for garnishing.

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk and add the vinegar ,wait till the milk curdles and switch off
  2. Pour the curdled milk in a strainer and drain the excess whey.
  3. Wash the paneer under cold water to remove smell of vinegar.Keep aside
  4. Heat oil in a pan,Add the cubed onion
  5. Then add salt and turmeric powder and mix well
  6. Cook till the onions are softened then add the cubed tomatoes.
  7. Cook until tomatoes are tender. Add the scrambled paneer and gently mix
  8. Add sugar, chili powder and cinnamon powder. Mix well
  9. When the mixture starts leaving oil, switch off
  10. Garnish with cashews and serve hot
