Ingredients to make Fusion Upma

  • 1 cup vermicelli
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, thinly sliced
  • 2 green chilies
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 6-7 curry leaves
  • 1/2 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, beans and peas)
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3 tbsp coriander leaves
  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp urad dal

How to make Fusion Upma

  1. ROAST 1 CUP VERMICELLI IN 1 TSP GHEE, KEEP IT ASIDE
  2. ADD 1/2 TSP EACH OF MUSTARD SEEDS & URAD DAL IN 1 TBSP HOT OIL
  3. ADD 2 GREEN CHILIES, 1 TSP GINGER & CHOPPED ONION, SAUTE TILL TRANSLUCENT
  4. ADD CHOPPED TOMATO AND CURRY LEAVES
  5. ADD 1/2 CUP MIXED VEGETABLES
  6. ADD 2 CUPS HOT WATER, 1/4 TSP TURMERIC & RED CHILI POWDER
  7. ADD 1/4 TSP GARAM MASALA , ROASTED VERMICELLI, MIX WELL. COVER & COOK FOR 7 MINS
  8. ADD CORIANDER LEAVES AND DASH OF LEMON JUICE. MIX WELL. SERVE HOT
