Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. palak leaves 1 kg
  2. Soya Chunks 1/2 cup
  3. Finely sliced onion 1
  4. Green chilies 4
  5. ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  6. cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  7. Big tomato 1
  8. Mango powder - 1/2 tsp
  9. salt to taste
  10. Red chili powder 1/2 tsp or as per your taste
  11. turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  12. coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  13. oil 6 tbsp


  1. Soak Soya chunks in hot water for 30 minutes. Drain excess water. Squeeze and keep it aside
  2. Clean and Blanch Spinach leaves. Drain excess water and wash leaves with cold water. Grind leaves with green chilies to smooth puree and keep it aside
  3. Grind tomato to form smooth puree
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add soya chunks and shallow fry it over medium flame until they turn crisp and light brown.Keep it aside
  5. Add cumin seeds in same pan and saute for 30 second. Add finely sliced onion and cook it on medium flame until onion turns brown in color
  6. Add 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste. Stir it for 3-4 minutes. Add spice powders and salt. Mix well
  7. Add spinach puree with little water and cook for 10 minutes on low to medium flame . Add fried soya chunks and mix well. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes
  8. Add 1 cup water and bring to boil. Switch off. Serve hot with parathas , chapati, naan or roti

When are we suppose to add tomato Puree
