Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 100-150 gm fresh methi leaves
  2. 1 cup wheat flour
  3. 1/2 cup gram flour
  4. 1/2 cup pearl millet flour
  5. 1/4 cup sorghum flour
  6. 1 tsp finely chopped garlic
  7. 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  8. 2 finely chopped green chili
  9. 2 tbsp refined oil
  10. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  11. 1/2 tsp coriander powder
  12. 1/2 cup curd
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Water as required for kneading
  15. 3-4 tbsp oil


  1. Wash and chop methi leaves
  2. In a mixing bowl , mix all the ingredients well
  3. Add water and knead a semi soft dough
  4. Cover the dough and keep it aside for 10-15 minutes
  5. Make equal lemon size balls from dough
  6. Roll into chapatis
  7. Place theplas on hot tawa. Drizzle oil over edges
  8. Cook until bubbles appear, then flip the thepla
  9. Drizzle oil and cook until golden brown
  10. Serve hot with curd or pickle
