ABOUT Stuffed Moong Dal Chilla RECIPE

It is a very tasty ,healthy and low oil receipe. It is ideal breakfast for all with full of veggis.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup green gram soaked and drained
  2. rice 1 tablespoon
  3. salt to taste
  4. For stuffing
  5. onion 2 finely chopped
  6. capsicum 1 finely chopped
  7. peas 1/2 cup
  8. tomato 1 finely chopped
  9. Green chili 2 chopped
  10. Mustard seeds(rai) 1/2 teaspoon
  11. turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  12. salt to taste
  13. oil 2 tablespoon
  14. garlic 6-7 cloves
  15. Curry leaves 6-7


  1. Grind Moong dal,rice and water to form smooth batter
  2. Add salt and mix well
  3. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds .Add curry leaves then onion,capsicum,peas tomato,garlic turmeric powder, green chilies and salt .Mix well . Cook for 10 minutes
  4. Heat a non stick pan and spread ladle of batter in circular shape. Drizzle oil over edges and top
  5. Put the stuffing in centre of chila and fold it
  6. Serve hot with red and green sauce.
