ABOUT Palak Puri RECIPE

Palak Puri is a healthy and tasty meal. These are made of spinach puree and spices. I often try to make my son eat making something like these as most of the time kids denies to eat nutritious food.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Spinach puree 1 cup
  2. salt 1 teaspoon
  3. jeera powder 1/2 tsp
  4. ginger paste 1/2 tsp
  5. oil 4-5 tsp
  6. water 1/3 cup
  7. Wheat Flour 1 cup
  8. maida 1 cup
  9. oil for deep frying
  10. Cumin powder 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add spinach puree, spice powders and salt. Mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes
  2. In a bowl, add flours and spinach mixture with the required water. Knead to form smooth dough
  3. Apply 1 tsp of oil to the dough and keep aside for 10 min
  4. Heat oil in a kadai
  5. Make small balls from dough and roll into puris
  6. Deep fry over medium heat until golden brown
  7. Serve hot with any veg curry.
