Easy and quick pulao recipe prepared using green Masala, paneer, peas, potato and khada or whole masala tastes amazing.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati Rice – 1 cup
  2. Paneer cubes – 1/4 cup
  3. Peas or matar – 1/4 cup
  4. Potato – 1 small cubed
  5. Cubed Green capsicum – 1/2 medium or 1 small
  6. Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  7. Warm water – 2 cups
  8. Salt to taste
  9. For Tempering – Ghee – 2 tbsp.
  10. Cumin seeds or Caraway seeds (Shahi Jeera) – 1 tsp
  11. Bay leaf/ tejpatta – 1
  12. Black pepper – 8-9
  13. Cloves – 2
  14. Green cardamom – 2-3
  15. Star anise – 1
  16. Cinnamon stick – 1/4 inch
  17. Onion – 1 medium (thinly Sliced)
  18. Green Chili – 1-2 slit
  19. For Green Paste – Garlic Cloves – 3-4
  20. Ginger – 1/2 inch
  21. Coriander leaves finely chopped – 1/2 cup
  22. Coriander seeds – 1 tsp
  23. Grated coconut – 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak basmati rice for 15-20 minutes. Drain excess water. Keep it aside
  2. Blend coriander leaves, garlic cloves, ginger, coriander seeds, grated coconut into fine paste. Keep aside.
  3. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker.
  4. Add cumin or Caraway seeds, bay leaf, Black pepper, cloves, Star anise, Cinnamon stick, Green cardamom. Let them sizzle.
  5. Add thinly sliced onion and slit green chilies. Cook till translucent.
  6. Add all vegetables and paneer. Mix well.
  7. Add green paste ,mix well and cook for 1 minute
  8. Add soaked, drained rice, salt, lemon juice. Saute for a minute. Add 2 cups warm water
  9. Cook pulao over medium flame for 2 whistles.
  10. Once steam is released, Use fork and fluff the rice.
  11. Serve hot with raita and Papad.
