ABOUT Sponge Cake RECIPE

Light vanilla sponge cake enjoyed with evening coffee.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups maida
  2. 4 eggs
  3. 1 cup refined oil
  4. 2 tbsp butter
  5. 1/2 cup milk
  6. 1.5 cup sugar
  7. 1 tsp baking powder
  8. 2 tbsp vanilla essence
  9. Cashews and raisins 2 tbsp each.

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk Maida, sugar oil milk and egg until sugar melts.
  2. Add baking powder, vanilla essence and mix well
  3. Grease cake pan and dust with flour
  4. Pour the batter and level evenly
  5. Garnish with cashew and raisins
  6. Microwave for 5 minutes.
  7. Keep in standby mode for 2 minutes
  8. Toothpick inserted in centre should be clean.Slice and serve
