Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. pumpkin leaves and tender stem 250 gms
  2. 1 small size potato
  3. 1 small size brinjal
  4. 1 inch pumpkin
  5. 1 small tomato
  6. garlic cloves 3
  7. green chili - 2
  8. dry red chili 2
  9. Jaggery/sugar 1/2 tsp
  10. mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
  11. cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  12. turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  13. panch phoron 1/4 tsp
  14. oil 1tsp
  15. salt to taste


  1. Wash the pumpkin leaves and stem thoroughly in water and chop them finely. Wash peel and cut potato and pumpkin in to small pieces.Wash brinjal and tomato and cut them into small pieces.
  2. Make a fine paste of mustard seed, cumin seed, garlic cloves and green chili.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.Add crushed dry red chili and panch phoran. When it crackles, add all the vegetables(except tomato) and pumpkin leaves .
  4. Add turmeric powder and salt to it and mix well.Cover and Cook over low heat
  5. When 80% done, add mustard paste chopped tomato and jaggery. Cook for another 5 minutes over medium flame by stirring continuously
  6. Once water evaporates, switch off. Garnish with grated coconut for additional taste. Serve hot
