Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Full fat milk -1/2 litre + 3/4 cup
  2. Lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon
  3. Sugar 1 cup+ 1 cup
  4. Cocoa powder - 4 tablespoon
  5. Milk maid - 100 ml
  6. Water 3 cups

Instructions

  1. Boil milk in a pan
  2. Add lemon juice and stir milk
  3. Allow it to stand for 1/2 minute to curdle.
  4. Strain the water using a muslin cloth.
  5. Tightly tie and hang cloth for 30 minutes to drain water
  6. Boil 3 cups water, add 1 cup sugar and stir until completely dissolved
  7. Transfer chenna to plate. Knead the chenna using palms, for 4 -5 minutes.
  8. Divide and shape chenna into small balls
  9. Add the chenna balls into sugar syrup
  10. Cover and cook for 7- 10 minutes
  11. Boil 3/4 cup milk in a pan
  12. Add cocoa powder and mix until lump free
  13. Add milkmaid and stir well
  14. Transfer the Rosgullas to a bowl and allow to cool for 15 minutes
  15. Add chocolate sauce over Rosgullas
  16. Garnish with chopped nuts.
  17. Refrigerate Rosgullas and serve cold
