A simple green colour snack prepared from methi ( fenugreek leaves), mint leaves, coriander leaves mixed with the gram flour and rice flour.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. For Paste -
  2. 1/2 cup fenugreek leaves
  3. 1/4 cup mint leaves
  4. 1/4 cup coriander leaves
  5. 2 - 3 green chili
  6. 1/2 inch ginger
  7. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  8. 1 tsp salt
  9. 1/4 cup water
  10. For sev -
  11. 1/2 cup oil
  12. 1/2 cup rice flour
  13. 150 gm gram flour
  14. 1/2 tsp chat masala
  15. 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  16. oil for deep frying


  1. Grind leaves, green chili, ginger, lemon juice, salt , water to smooth puree
  2. In a bowl add rice flour, gram flour, chat masala, oil, sesame seeds and mix well.
  3. Add puree and Knead into smooth dough. Rest aside for 15 minutes
  4. Heat oil in a wok.
  5. Grease the chakli press fitted with sev attachment and add the dough in it.
  6. Press the chakli press into hot oil and deep fry till golden and crisp.
  7. Drain sev on absorbent paper. Allow to cool
  8. Store in air tight container. Serve with hot tea or coffee.
