Broccoli- beetroot hearts in creamy spinach sauce.

This recipe is perfect to be included in any party occasions , apart from being healthy and nutritious, it looks amazing with green boundary and red inside heart .

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 8 to 10 medium size broccoli florets
  2. 1 medium size beetroot
  3. 4 tbsp plain flour
  4. 3 tbsp Rice flour
  5. Ginger Garlic Paste
  6. Onion powder
  7. Chili flakes
  8. Salt and pepper
  9. Garlic powder
  10. Olive oil
  11. oregano
  12. milk
  13. Cheese
  14. butter
  15. Spinach puree

Instructions

  1. Grate the beetroot and squeeze it’s water so that it’s almost dry grated beetroot and keep it in one bowl
  2. Blanch broccoli for 5 mins and chop it finely once cooled and keep it in another bowl
  3. Add 2 tbsp of plain flour , 1 and 1/2 tbsp of rice flour , 1/4 tbsp of ginger garlic paste , salt and pepper, some chili flakes, some onion powder, some garlic powder to both bowl separately
  4. Mix everything in each bowl properly and make a dough like mixture of both
  5. Take a pizza pan and place parchment paper over it , now take a heart shape cookie cutter over parchment paper
  6. Divide broccoli mixture and beetroot mixture into equal parts , first give broccoli mixture a heart shape from all side , making boundary and put beetroot mixture as center of heart , don’t make very thick heart, once done remove cookie cutter gently , this way make hearts of remaining mixture
  7. Place pizza pan in fridge for an hour so that all hearts get firm to handle
  8. Now pre heat oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake hearts for 20 mins after applying little olive oil on both sides of hearts, they should be slightly golden brown
  9. For making creamy spinach sauce, place a pan over medium heat and melt some butter , add 1/2 tbsp of plain flour and mix it properly until golden brown. Now add 1/2 cup of milk and mix it properly so no lumps are formed , add chili flakes, oregano , salt and pepper. Once it starts to thicken add 3 tbsp of cheese and spinach puree and mix everything well until sauce is thick and creamy
  10. For plating , spread the sauce on plate in circle and place baked broccoli- beetroot hearts in between the sauce , enjoy .
