Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For filling :-Green peas 2 cup , ground to coarse paste
  2. 8 Green chilies ground to paste
  3. ginger 1 inch paste
  4. hing 1/4 tsp
  5. Fennel Seeds 1 tsp
  6. cumin seeds 1 tsp
  7. gram flour 2 tbsp
  8. salt to taste
  9. cloves 5 crushed
  10. sugar 1 tsp
  11. oil 1 tbsp + for deep frying
  12. For dough:- All purpose flour 2 cups
  13. spinach 1/2 cup blanched and pureed
  14. salt to taste
  15. oil 2 tbsp


  1. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Add hing and gram flour, keep stirring till flour turns golden brown.
  2. Add fennel powder , cumin powder , crushed cloves , ginger paste, green chilly paste and stir for few seconds; then add green peas paste.
  3. Add sugar and salt to green peas paste; keep stirring the paste over medium heat until mixture dries up and leaves sides of the pan. When the filling is cooked, keep it aside to cool.
  4. Add all purpose flour, 2 tbsp warm oil and salt to taste. Mix well till flour crumbles. Add spinach puree and knead the dough well for 10 mins. Rest dough for 1 hour
  5. Divide dough into small balls, flatten the balls and add filling in between and seal edges with little water. Flatten the ball slightly with roiling pin.
  6. Deep fry the kachoris over low flame till it turns golden brown in color. Enjoy warm with coriander chutney
