Simple, healthy and tasty, white radish greens stir fry, Konkani style.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 white radishes/mooli (along with the greens attached)
  2. 2 to 3 dry red chilies
  3. 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  4. 1 to 2 teaspoons jaggery
  5. 2 teaspoons coconut oil
  6. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Separate the leaves from the radish. Wash them thoroughly.Chop radish leaves finely. Peel and chop Radish into small cubes.
  2. Heat oil in a large deep pan or kadai. Splutter mustard seeds. Add broken red chilies and stir fry for few seconds.
  3. Add chopped radish along with the chopped leaves. Stir in salt and jaggery. Sprinkle little water. Mix well. Cover and cook over medium high heat until slightly cooked.
  4. Sabji should be tender yet retain crunchy taste. Serve hot radish upkari with hot steamed rice and dal
