Healthy momo with spinach and paneer

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 cups plain flour
  2. Salt to taste
  3. 100 gm paneer cut into very small cubes
  4. 10 spinach leaves
  5. 2 tbsp hung curd
  6. 2 tbsp cream
  7. 2 Green Cardamoms
  8. 1 blade mace
  9. 1 tsp caraway seeds
  10. 1 TBSP Red Chili powder
  11. 1 tbsp Kashmiri powder
  12. 1 tbsp Oil
  13. Melted butter for brushing - as required
  14. 1 bunch chopped coriander leaves
  15. 4 tbsp mozzarella cheese
  16. 1 onion chopped
  17. 1 tbsp cumin powder
  18. 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

Instructions

  1. Blanch and blend Spinach leaves to smooth paste
  2. In a bowl, add flour and salt
  3. Add spinach paste and knead into smooth dough
  4. Rest dough covered for 10 minutes.
  5. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan
  6. Add green cardamom,mace,caraway seeds and roast for 1 minute
  7. Now add chopped onion and saute until it browns
  8. Add cumin powder,chili powder,Kashmiri mirch powder,ginger garlic paste. Mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes
  9. Add curd and mix well
  10. Add salt and cream. Mix well
  11. Add little water and cook for 5 minutes
  12. Add paneer and chopped coriander. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes
  13. Add cheese on top.
  14. Roll the dough thin into 4"-5".
  15. Take a round,wet edges and place paneer fillings in the center.
  16. Bring edges together to cover the filling.Twist to seal and fill the rest in same way.
  17. Brush melted butter on momos.
  18. Steam for 15 minutes and serve with hot chilli garlic sauce.
