Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup of dhaniya
  2. 4 tomatoes
  3. 4 garlic cloves
  4. 1/2 tsp sliced ginger
  5. 1/2 tsp jeera
  6. Salt as per taste
  7. 1/2 tsp tamarind pulp
  8. 1/2 tsp urad dal
  9. 1 cup onion, chopped
  10. 1/2 tsp Chana dal
  11. 2 dry red chili
  12. 1 tsp red chili powder
  13. 1/4 tsp Turmeric

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add red chili,urad dal ,Chana dal, onion and saute for 4-5 minutes
  2. Now add red chili powder,Salt and turmeric powder. Mix well
  3. Add tomatoes and cook until tomatoes are tender and mushy
  4. Allow mixture to cool completely
  5. Grind mixture with dhaniya and garlic well to form smooth chutney
  6. Serve with idli, dosas
