Instant Masala Vada

Ingredients to make Instant Masala Vada

  • 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 cup besan
  • 2 cups finely chopped spinach
  • 1 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 onion ,chopped
  • 1/2 cup of water - adjust
  • salt as per taste
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tsp - optional
  • 2 tbsp chana dal
  • 2 tbsp moong dal
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • oil for deep frying

How to make Instant Masala Vada

  1. Soak dals for 30 minutes in hot water. Drain excess water
  2. Mix all ingredients except oil with water to form smooth malleable dough
  3. Divide dough into equal portions and shape them like vadas
  4. Deep fry vadas until golden brown and crisp
  5. Drain excess oil over tissue paper and serve hot
