Curry leaves chicken fry is a very easy and quick recipe with very limited ingredients easily available in your kitchen. At the same time it is very tasty and delicious and flavorful and healthy dish.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. chicken 300 gms
  2. oil - 2 tbsp 
  3. Curry leaves - 1/2 cup 
  4. cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp 
  5. ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp 
  6. onion - 1 large chopped finely 
  7. tomato - 1 chopped finely 
  8. turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp 
  9. coriander powder - 1/2 tsp 
  10. pepper powder - 1/4 tsp 
  11. chilly powder - 1 tsp 
  12. Green chilies - 2 slit
  13. lemon Juice - 1 tsp 
  14. salt to taste
  15. water as required

Instructions

  1. Reserve few curry leaves and grind remaining leaves with water and little salt to form smooth paste
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add the reserved Curry leaves and fry them till crisp. Set it aside.
  3. In the same pan, add cumin seeds and let it crackle. Add ginger garlic paste and saute for a min. Add onion and saute till it turns soft. Add chopped tomatoes and saute till mushy.
  4. Add the masala powders and saute for a min. Add the chicken and the curry leaves paste, salt and mix well coating the chicken nicely with the paste.
  5. Cover and cook on low-medium heat for 5-10  mins.
  6. Add the slit green chilies and mix. Add little water and continue to cook till chicken is done and water dries up.
  7. Add lemon juice and fried curry leaves, give a quick stir and take off the heat. Serve hot
