ABOUT Sweet Corn Soup RECIPE

A traditional recipe made with cream and sweetcorn which is a must have during cold winter morning or evening

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. oil 2 tbsp
  2. 1 garlic clove finely chopped
  3. 1 onion finely chopped
  4. vegetable stock 750 ml
  5. milk 300 ml
  6. refined flour (maida) 30 gram
  7. butter 1 tbsp
  8. salt to taste
  9. pepper to taste
  10. sweetcorn 200 grams

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat oil with butter. Once melted, add garlic and onions and saute for 3 mins
  2. Add sweetcorn, salt and pepper and stir well. Add the vegetable stock and then bring it to boil
  3. Let it simmer for 5mins and then turn off the heat. You can add seasoning as per your preference.
  4. In another pan. Heat butter and add flour. Stir well. Gradually add milk to form a white sauce and keep aside
  5. Pour the sauce over the soup and stir well. Add a bit of water if the consistency is too thick.
  6. Serve hot, with fried croutons.
