It's a popular indian sweet dish which is a must forevery occasion and feast it is made with full cream milk rice sugar and saffron and it's very simple to prepare and relish's very delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Full cream milk 2 litres
  2. Long grained basmathi rice 1/3 cup soaked for half an hour
  3. Condensed milk 1/4cup
  4. sugar 1/3 cup
  5. saffron few strands
  6. Green cardamom 4 to 5


  1. drain the soaked rice and dry on a towel and grind to get coarse powder.
  2. heat milk in to a pan and. Bring to boil and reduce the quantity till it reduced to half.
  3. Add cardamom powder to the milk .
  4. reserve 2 tbsp of milk and add saffron strands soak for 10 seconds
  5. Add ground rice to simmered milk and let it cook on a medium flame .
  6. keep stirring so that lums don't form and add the dissolved saffron to the mixture.
  7. When it's almost cooked add condensed milk to the mixture and let it cook for 10 to 15 mts. Scrape the sides of vessel adjust the sweetness and can add more ..
  8. Turn off the heat and serve in bowls and refrigerate fir 1 to two hrs and serve chilled
