Easy Chana Masala

Ingredients to make Easy Chana Masala

  • 3/4 cup cooked chana
  • 1/2 CUP onion PASTE
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup tamarind extract
  • 1/2 tsp chilly powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp powdered jaggey
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped coriander leaves
  • salt to taste

How to make Easy Chana Masala

  1. ADD 1/2 CUP ONION PASTE INTO 2 TBSP MELTED BUTTER
  2. SAUTE ON MEDIUM HEAT TILL THE PASTE TURNS GOLDEN BROWN
  3. ADD 1/2 CUP TOMATO PUREE
  4. SAUTE FOR 3-4 MINS
  5. ADD 1/2 TSP TURMERIC POWDER
  6. ADD 1/2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER
  7. STIR WELL
  8. ADD 1/4 CUP TAMARIND EXTRACT
  9. COOK ON A MEDIUM HEAT FOR 5 MINS
  10. ADD SALT TO TASTE
  11. ADD 3/4 CUP BOILED CHANA
  12. ADD 2 TSP GARAM MASALA, MIX
  13. COOK ON MEDIUM HEAT FOR 7 MINS
  14. ADD 1 TBSP POWDERED JAGGERY, MIX
  15. COOK ON A MEDIUM HEAT FOR 3 TO 4 MINS TILL DRY
  16. GARNISH WITH 2 TBSP CORIANDER LEAVES
  17. EASY CHANA MASALA IS READY TO SERVE
  18. SERVE HOT
