Jeera biscuits/ Cumin cookies(no egg)

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Roasted cumin seeds 100gms
  2. All purpose flour 150 gms
  3. 1 tbspn salt
  4. 1/2 tbspn sugar granulated
  5. 125 gms Butter melted
  6. 1 tspn baking soda
  7. 1.5 tbspn baking powder
  8. 2 tbspn plain milk at room temperature

Instructions

  1. Place the butter in a mixing bowl and dissolve the sugar in it well till both combine
  2. Now swiftly add the flour bit by bit to combine well
  3. Throw in the cumin seeds, salt, baking powder and soda and mix with hand or a spoon to form a crumbled mix
  4. Now add the milk bit bit bit to knead a stiff dough
  5. Roll the dough in circular/rectangular shape with the help of a rolling pin( not very thin)
  6. Cut out pieces of cookies using a knife or cookie cutters
  7. Align a baking sheet on a baking tray and place the cookies keeping a two finger distance between each
  8. Bake till brown and crisp at 200 degree celcius for 10-15 minutes
  9. Let cool and store airtight box
  10. Enjoy the jeera biscuit with a piping hot chai!
