ABOUT Cooling Jaljeera RECIPE

A cooling and refreshing jaljeera is always a great addition to your meals. It builds appetite if consumed before meals and helps digestion after meals.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For jaljeera powder:
  2. 2 tbspn cumin seeds roasted
  3. 1 tbspn black salt
  4. 1 tbspn dry mango powder(amchur)
  5. 1 tbspn coriander seeds
  6. 1/2 tspn black pepper powder
  7. To blend into a liquid:
  8. 2 tbspn fresh mint leaves(Pudina)
  9. Juice of 1 lemon
  10. Water to blend As needed
  11. For serving:
  12. Ice cubes as desired
  13. 2 ml soda
  14. Cold water as needed

Instructions

  1. Dry grind finely the ingredients needed to make the jaljeera powder
  2. In a blender, blend mint leaves combing it with lemon juice and very little water
  3. Now take the liquid in a jug/a mixing bowl and mix the jaljeera powder in it and mix well
  4. Place ice cubes in a serving glass(optional)
  5. Pour in the jaljeera in it and TOP it up with soda and cold water if needed
  6. Garnish with a chopped lemon piece/ salted boondies
  7. Serve chilled
