A wonderful dish prepared with cauliflower and fish head enjoyed with rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/2 kg cauliflower
  2. 2 large potatoes
  3. 2 large onions
  4. 1 large tomato
  5. 1 Head of rohu or katla fish
  6. 1 heaped teaspoon ginger paste
  7. 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon cardamom powder
  9. 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  10. 1/2 teaspoon chilly powder
  11. 1/4 teaspoon sugar
  12. 5 tablespoon mustard oil
  13. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Put oil in a kadhai
  2. Fry the cubed potatoes and keep aside.
  3. Coat the fish head with salt and turmeric powder, half fry and keep aside
  4. Now add chopped onions to the oil.
  5. Next add ginger paste, chilly powder, cumin powder and chopped tomatoes and allow to cook until oil comes out.
  6. Add chopped cauliflower and mix properly
  7. Now add salt and mix
  8. Add turmeric powder and cover with a lid
  9. Stir occasionally to prevent from getting burnt.
  10. Once the cauliflower is softened add potatoes and fried fish head
  11. Mix properly and once the excess water is reduced sprinkle cinnamon cardamom powder and put off the flame.
