In winter radish is available, that is short in length & has long leaves. For this dish you need that kind of radish

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Radish - 4, with greens, finely chopped both radish & greens
  2. Poppy seeds - 1 tbsp
  3. Mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
  4. Green chili - 2
  5. Sugar - 2-3 tsp
  6. Salt
  7. Mustard oil - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil, add mustard seed & broken green chili
  2. Add chopped radish, not the green
  3. Cook for 3-4 min
  4. Add radish green, salt, poppy seeds
  5. It should get cooked in it's own juice. If it's fresh, lot of water comes out from it. That will cook both greens & poppy seeds
  6. Cook until water is dried up. Add sugar, more chili
  7. Serve with plain rice & kasundi (mustard sauce, druk, elmac have good mustard sauce)
