Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Potato 1 cut into small cubes
  2. 1/2 cup green peas
  3. ,1 small carrot cut into small cubes
  4. 1/2 capsicum cut into cubes
  5. 2 onion
  6. 3to4 garlic pod
  7. 1/2 tsp cumin
  8. 1small tomato finely chopped
  9. 1 tsp chilli powder
  10. 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  11. 1/2 inch cinnamon stick
  12. 3 cloves
  13. 3petal star anise
  14. Salt to taste
  15. 2 tbsp oil
  16. 1 tbsp coriander leaves


  1. Heat the pan add 1 tsp oil to this add roughly chopped onion cinnamon cloves garlic star anise and coriander leaves fry for 1 Minute
  2. Then add grated coconut stir for few seconds switch off the flame let it cool then grind it to fine paste
  3. Wash and clean and Chop the veggies keep aside
  4. Heat the pan add oil when oil is hot add cumin when it starts popping add finely chopped tomato and add salt stir for 1 Minute then add veggies mix well
  5. Then add chilli powder and cumin powder mix well for 30 seconds on a low flame
  6. After few seconds add grounded masala paste mix well and cook for 2 minutes then add 1 cup water and cook for 10 to 12 minutes or until done
  7. Yummy veg kurma is ready serve with Poori chapati idli or dosa
