Ingredients to make Mixed vegetables and dal rice

  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 Tbsp moong dal
  • 2 Tbsp Toor dal
  • 1 carrot
  • 4 beans
  • 1 potato
  • 1/4 cup green peas
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 2 tsp cumins
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilly powder
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste

How to make Mixed vegetables and dal rice

  1. CUT THE VEGETABLES WASH THE RICE. CHOP THE ONIONS, TOMATOES AND GARLIC CLOVES.
  2. HEAT GHEE IN A PRESSURE COOKER AND ADD CUMINS
  3. ADD THE CHOPPED GARLICS
  4. SAUTE THEM ON LOW HEAT
  5. ADD THE ONIONS
  6. SAUTE THEM WELL
  7. NEXT ADD THE TOMATOES
  8. ADD THE TURMERIC POWDER
  9. ADD THE CHILLY POWDER
  10. ADD THE VEGETABLES
  11. SAUTE THEM FOR FEW SECONDS
  12. ADD 2 CUPS WATER (1 CUP RICE - 2 CUPS WATER)
  13. ADD 2 TBSP TOOR DAL
  14. ADD 2 TBSP MOONG DAL
  15. MIX IT WELL
  16. ADD THE REQUIRED SALT
  17. ADD THE RICE
  18. PRESSURE COOK FOR 3 WHISTLES
  19. OPEN THE COOKER ADD THE LEMON JUICE
  20. ADD CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES
  21. MIX THEM WELL
