Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Mutton - 500 gms
  2. Sliced onion - 2 - 3
  3. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  4. Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  5. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Hung curd - 2 tbsp
  8. Chopped green chilly - 2
  9. Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
  10. Green cardamom - 3 - 4
  11. Cloves - 3 - 4
  12. Black pepper - 3 - 4
  13. Shahjeera/caraway seeds - a pinch
  14. Black cardamom - 1
  15. Bay leaf - 1
  16. Kasuri methi - 1 tbsp
  17. Mint leaves - 1 tbsp
  18. Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
  19. Salt - to taste
  20. Oil - 1/2 cup
  21. Clarified butter - 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Marinate mutton with coriander powder,red chilly powder,turmeric powder,ginger garlic paste,hung curd,green chill and salt.
  2. Keep aside for 4 - 5 hours or over night.
  3. Take a heavy bottom vessel.
  4. Add 1/2 cup oil and 2 tbsp clarified butter
  5. Add cardamom,cinnamon,cloves,black pepper,black cardamom,bay leaf,shah jeera and fry it.
  6. Add sliced onion and fry till pink
  7. Add marinated mutton and fry with onion.
  8. Add kasuri methi,mint leaves,coriander leaves and 2 tbsp water and mix well
  9. Add little salt and 2 cup of water and cover it.
  10. Cook for 20 - 25 mins till done.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
