ABOUT Curry paneer pizza RECIPE

Paneer cube sauted with whole spice masala onions makes a lovely dry paneer which can be used as a stuffing for any bun,pie, sandwich or use as a topping for home made pizzas. This is what I have done here. Lovely topping for a home made delicious pizza.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the pizza crust:
  2. Apf - 2 cups
  3. Warm water - 3/4 cup
  4. Sugar - 1 tbsp
  5. salt - 1 tsp
  6. Instant dry yeast - 1 tbsp
  7. Olive oil - 3 tbsps +2 tbsps
  8. Cornmeal - 3 tbsps
  9. For the Masala :
  10. Paneer - 250 gms
  11. Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
  12. Whole spices powder - 1 1/4 tsp
  13. Dhaniya jeera powder - 1 tsp
  14. Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
  15. Onion - 2
  16. Red chilli flakes - 2 tsps
  17. Oregano - 2 tsps
  18. Mozerrella cheese- 100 gms
  19. Pizza sauce / tomatoe sauce - 1/4 cup
  20. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix sugar and yeast in warm water. Cover and leave for 10 minutes.
  2. Add salt and 2 tbsps olive oil to apf. Mix. Now add the yeast mix.
  3. Knead well for around 5 minutes. Apply another tbsp of olive oil all over and the bowl. Tuck seam side down. Cover and leave it to prove for 2 hours.
  4. For the masala. Add oil to the pan. Add onions and saute. Add the paneer peices and spice powders alongwith salt. Saute for few minutes. Leave it to cool aside.
  5. Preheat oven to 220 °
  6. Take the pizza dough and divide into 2 equal sized balls.
  7. Apply a tbsp of olive oil to the baking tray. Spread a tbsp and half of cornmeal for a crisp base.
  8. Now Take a dough ball and flatten on the tray. Pick all over with fork. Bake for a minute and remove. Spread pizza sauce all over.
  9. Spread some mozzerala cheese. Now spread the curry paneer. Drizzle with red chilli flakes and oregano. Ready to bake
  10. Bake for 15 minutes at 220° for a nice crisp base
