Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mutton - 500 gms
  2. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  3. Whole black pepper - 3 - 4
  4. Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
  5. Cloves - 3 - 4
  6. Green cardamom - 2
  7. Black cardamom - 1
  8. Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
  9. Thinely sliced onion - 2
  10. Chopped tomato - 1
  11. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  12. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  13. Coriander powder - 12 tsp
  14. Curd - 1/2 cup
  15. Mint leaves - 2 tbsp
  16. Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
  17. Green chilly - 2 cut in slit
  18. Salt - to taste
  19. Oil - 1 cup
  20. Basmati rice - 2 cup

Instructions

  1. Marinate mutton with ginger garlic paste and salt.
  2. Keep aside for two hours.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Add whole garam masala to crackle.
  5. Add onion and stir fry till golden brown.
  6. Add coriander powder,red chilly powder,turmeric powder and tomato and saute for 3 - 4 mins.
  7. Add marinated mutton pieces and mix well.
  8. Add curd,mint leaves and coriander leaves and and green chilly and saute for 4 - 5 mins.
  9. Add 2 cup of water and cover it.
  10. Cook till 15 mins.
  11. Wash and rinse the basmati rice and add in the mutton gravy.
  12. When gravy comes to boil simmer the flame.
  13. Cover it and cook for 5 - 6 mins.
  14. Serve hot with raita
