Grilled Masala Pomfret

Ingredients to make Grilled Masala Pomfret

  • Pomfret fish 3 large sized and cleared
  • coriander seeds 1 tea spoon roasted powdered
  • Whole cinnamon, clove, cardamom roasted and powdered 1 tea spoon
  • Red chili powder 1 tea spoon
  • Hung curd half cup
  • salt to taste
  • mustard oil 2 table spoon
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tea spoon
  • Lemon juice 2 tea spoon
  • nutmeg powder 1 pinch

How to make Grilled Masala Pomfret

  1. Make incisions on the body of the cleared pomfret fish.
  2. Add all the ingredients of marination in a bowl.
  3. Mix very well.
  4. Now add the fishes in this mixture and marinade for 30 minutes.
  5. Now preheat the oven 180C for 15 minutes.
  6. Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  7. Brush some ghee on the foil.
  8. Now place the fishes over the foil.
  9. First bake for 20 minutes each side and then grill each side until the nice brown colour of grilling appears over the fish.
  10. Takes 15 minutes approximately in each side.
  11. Serve hot with salad, lemon wedges and dips of your choice.

My Tip:

Goes very well with mustard sauce, red chili sauce. Best tasted when hot. Sprinkle some ghee over it just before serving.
