dahi vada  are popular north indian snacks as well as street food. they can also be served as a starter dish. they are also made during festive time

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup urad daal
  2. 3 cup curd
  3. 7/8garlic clove
  4. 3green chilli
  5. 1/2 inch ginger piece
  6. 1tsp roasted cuminseeds
  7. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  8. 1 tsp funnel seed
  9. water 1 cup
  10. salt
  11. oil
  12. 1 /2tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Soak urad dal for 4/5 hours and grind urad dal with green chillies, funnel seed,black pepper ,garlic,ginger and salt in a mixer and grind to a smooth paste using approx. ¼ cup of water.
  2. Heat the oil in a deep pan and deep-fry vadas till they turn light golden brown in colour from all the sides.
  3. In curd mix water,black pepper,roasted Cummin seed powder,red chilli powder and mix well..Soak vadas in curd for 1 hour and than serve.
