ABOUT SheerKhurma RECIPE

This is a traditional Muslim breakfast recipe, made on Eid. It is generally taken along with puri for breakfast by the family and also served all day long to all the guests visiting them.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 Cup Vermicilli
  2. 2 tbsp Ghee
  3. 1 ltr Milk
  4. 1/4 tsp Elaichi Powder
  5. Few saffron strands
  6. 2 tsp Soaked Sabudana
  7. Sugar as needed
  8. 1/2 Cup Ground Cashews and Almonds
  9. 2 tsp Chopped Nuts
  10. 1/2 Cup Milkmaid

Instructions

  1. Soak Sabudana in water for 30 mins and keep aside.
  2. Roast Vermicilli in ghee until golden.
  3. Add Milk, Elaichi Powder, Kesar strands, Soaked sabudana and sugar.
  4. Add powdered Cashews and Almonds powder & cook on low flame until it starts thickening.
  5. Add 1/2 cup milkmaid..simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Serve with chopped nuts sprinkled on top.
