ABOUT ZAFRANI MAWA LADDU RECIPE

Laddu with flavour of saffron

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 200 gm chenna
  2. 100 gm mawa
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 1teasp elaichi powder
  5. 6tbsp ghee
  6. few strands of SAFFRON soaked in 2tbsp milk
  7. few strands of SAFFRON for garnishing
  8. 3tbsp pistachio powder
  9. 3tbsp almond flakes
  10. 1/2 cup almond powder
  11. 1 bowl grated mawa
  12. 4tbsp cashew powder

Instructions

  1. Heat up 3tbsp ghee in a kadhai.
  2. Add chenna.Stir well.
  3. Add sugar and stir well in low flame.
  4. Pour SAFFRON soaked in milk
  5. Add elaichi powder and almond powder.
  6. Now rest it for 5minutes to cool.
  7. Heat up 3tbsp ghee in kadhai.
  8. Add mawa and saute well.
  9. Add cashew powder and cook well.
  10. Now make small balls with this mixture of mawa.
  11. Take good quantity of chenna mix on hand.
  12. Stuff this small mawa ball inside every chenna ball.
  13. Now roll this laddu on grated mawa and almond flakes.
  14. Garnish with pistachio powder and saffron strands from top for garnishing.
  15. Serve when cold.
