ABOUT Microwave Bhindi Masala... RECIPE

An amazingly quick recipe for breakfast or lunch. Bhindi masala done in a microwave. Jhatpat and tasty as well. It goes well with both rice and rotis. This is my way of doing it. There might be many recipes of this dish but this is my most liked microwave dish and so thought of sharing with you all. It becomes a way much easier for moms like me with little kids who need full attention always. And with such naughty kids, this whole process becomes even more interesting. They actually help you with this as they watch it being done in a microwave. And what more can any mother ask for ? When your kids are on the way of becoming future chefs, all you can do is smile at their cuteness.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Okra or bhindi 200 gm (cut length wise into long strips
  2. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  3. kashmiri red chilli powder 1 tsp
  4. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Coriander leaves chopped a fistful
  6. Cumin seeds crushed 1 tsp
  7. Coriander seeds crushed 1 tbsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Oil 3 tbsp
  10. Dry mango powder 1/2 tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil for a minute in microwave on POWER HIGH. After done, mix in all the masalas and again microwave for about 30 secs.
  2. Remove it and add bhindi. Mix it well , cover and microwave for 4 minutes on HIGH.
  3. Remove and stir it again. Microwave it for 4 more minutes on HIGH.
  4. In total, it is done in 8 minutes flat. If you want a little more crispier bhindi, microwave for 3 more minutes.
  5. That's it. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve it hot as a side dish to many a lovely meals.

I didn't use microwave. I made it in a pan. It was very tasty. Thank you for the recipe.
