Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 2-3 pieces seedless/deseeded dates
  2. 1 tbspn whole wheat flour
  3. 1 tspn of ghee/clarified butter
  4. 1 tbspn crushed/powdered jaggery
  5. 1 small sized Apple
  6. 1 tbspn roasted powdered nuts like almonds, walnuts, etc
  7. as needed Water

Instructions

  1. Soak the dates and jaggery in a bowl with hot water and keep covered for 15-20 minutes
  2. Chop into pieces and pressure cook the apple after washing and reseeding them.Alternatively, boil it covered until soft
  3. Blend together the Apple, soaked dates and jaggery using the jaggery water and part of the water saved used for cooking the Apple
  4. In a cooking pot, add the wheat flour and sauté it for a minute on medium-Low heat after adding the ghee
  5. Once the flour starts to give out a lovely aroma, add the blended mix of Apple, powdered nuts and cook on Low heat until thick. Take care not to overcook
  6. Serve warm/at room temperature
