We all go through hunger pangs and a diabetic is always in delimma about what he should eat in between meals to keep his blood sugar levels normal. These home made snack bars are not only filling but also the right snack to control your sugar levels till your next meal.Also a nutritious snack for a pregnant women given the ingredients used

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 100 gms quick cooking oats
  2. 50 gms each dried apricots
  3. 50 gms cranberry
  4. 100 gms dates chopped fine
  5. 20 gms roasted almonds
  6. 20 gms walnuts chopped
  7. 20 gms raisins chopped
  8. 20 ml organic honey or maple syrup
  9. 1 tbspn roasted white sesame seeds
  10. 1 pinch salt
  11. 2 tbspn desiccated coconut
  12. 1 tbsn olive oil

Instructions

  1. Combine all the dry ingredients in a mixing bowl
  2. Add the honey, olive oil and combine well
  3. Place a baking sheet on a baking tray and lay out a thick layer of the mixture prepared on it
  4. Bake for 15-20 mins at 190 degree celcius
  5. Cut into bars while warm and store in airtight container after cool.
