Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. ½ cup oats
  2. ½ cup semolina
  3. ½ cup curd
  4. 1 tsp salt
  5. ½ tsp ginger paste
  6. ½ tsp red chilli powder
  7. 1 cup tomato sauce
  8. 1 tsp eno fruit salt
  9. 2 tbsp oil
  10. 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  11. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  12. ½ tsp asafoetida powder

Instructions

  1. Grind the oats.
  2. Whisk the curd and salt.
  3. In a bowl add grinded oats, semolina and curd mix well.
  4. Let it rest for 20 minutes.
  5. After 20 minutes add ginger paste, red chilli powder, tomato sauce and mix well.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180°c.
  7. Grease a baking tin with oil.
  8. Add the eno fruit salt and mix well.
  9. Pour the batter in baking tin.
  10. Bake for 20 - 25 minutes.
  11. Let it cool.
  12. Now demould it and cut the pieces.
  13. For tempering - in a pan heat oil and splutter the mustard seeds.
  14. Add asafoetida powder, sesame seeds and saute for a minute.
  15. Turn the flame off.
  16. Pour this above the dhokla.
  17. Our tomato masala oats dhokla is ready to serve.
