Figs are high in fiber and a good source of several essential minerals, including magnesium, manganese, calcium (which promotes bone density), copper, and potassium (which helps lower blood pressure), as well as vitamins, principally K and B6. Apricots are good for your bones, heart,skin and loaded with vitamins.A very easy and quick recipe for expectant mothers and seniors. Perfectly safe for diabetic patients too

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 100 gms dried apricots soaked for 30 minutes
  2. 100 gms dried figs soaked for 30 minutes
  3. 500 ml plain chilled milk
  4. 3-4 almonds slivered

Instructions

  1. Chop the apricots and figs into smaller pieces after checking if they have turned soft after soaking. They should look puffed up
  2. For one serving, combine 100 ml milk and 1 tbsn heaped of chopped apricots and figs each
  3. Blend till smooth without any water or sugar
  4. Serve chilled or with ice cubes if desired garnished with slivered almonds
