ABOUT Spinach ChanaDal RECIPE

This recipe is best for all age cycle . As spinach tomato and garlic have brain benefits as well and Channa dal pairs well with spinach .

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 cupchana daal ,soaked overnight in water
  2. 1 whole hot pepper
  3. 1/4 tsp haldi
  4. 3 cups fresh spinach leaves, washed and dried
  5. 2 large cloves garlic , thinly sliced
  6. 1 pinch hing
  7. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  8. 1 TOMATO CHOPPED
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 1tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. Rinse soaked chana daal twice, drain, and add to a pot .
  2. Add 5 cups water, the whole hot pepper and haldi .
  3. Cover pot, place over high heat, and bring to a boil.
  4. Let daal cook until you have the desire consistency .
  5. Once the desired consistency has been reached, add the spinach and season with salt to taste.
  6. Cover and reduce heat to low.
  7. While the daal are simmering, heat oil in another small frying pan over medium heat.
  8. Toss in hing and cumin seeds. When the seeds begin to pop, Add the garlic and cook until it just starts to color.
  9. Now add tomato cook until its musky .
  10. Remove from heat and pour into the simmering daal. Stir everything together and let it simmer for one minute more.
  11. Remove from heat and serve with rice, roti .....
